Eyelash extensions are designed to make your natural eyelashes appear thicker, longer, and more curled. There are several different types to choose from, but the most popular are mink, silk, and synthetic extensions. When applied professionally, they give a very natural appearance. Extensions come in lengths ranging from 6mm to 17mm, with various curls and styles available.

As I specialise in creating natural-looking lashes, I typically use extensions up to 14mm long. Most clients require between 80 and 160 individual extensions, depending on their chosen style.

I will work closely with you to select the perfect length, curl, and style, ensuring the result complements your natural eye shape. Each eyelash extension is carefully applied one by one, using high-quality semi-permanent adhesive.

How long do eyelash extensions last?

Eyelash extensions typically last between four to six weeks, depending on your natural lash cycle and how well you care for them. Each extension is attached to an individual natural lash, so as your lashes naturally shed, the extensions fall out with them.

To keep your lashes looking full and fresh, we recommend booking an infill every 2 to 3 weeks. This helps replace any lashes that have shed and keeps your lash line even and defined. With regular maintenance and proper aftercare – like avoiding oil-based products and being gentle around the eye area – your extensions can stay looking beautiful for longer.

How do I take care of my eyelash extensions?

Looking after your eyelash extensions is simple. Here are a few easy tips to make sure they last as long as possible:

Avoid direct contact with water for at least 12-24 hours after application.
Only use oil-free eye makeup remover, and avoid waterproof mascara, as oils can weaken the adhesive, causing lashes to fall out sooner.
Try not to touch or play with your extensions too often–the less you touch them, the longer they’ll stay looking great!

Can eyelash extensions damage your natural lashes?

It depends on how they’re applied. When done properly by a trained professional, eyelash extensions won’t harm your natural lashes.

How long does it take to apply eyelash extensions?

Depending on your chosen style and volume, the application usually takes between 45 minutes and 2 hours.

How often should you get eyelash extensions reapplied?

To maintain fresh-looking lashes, it’s best to get ”infills” every 2 to 3 weeks. With regular infills, a full set typically lasts around 4 to 6 weeks.

Are lash extensions right for me?

Absolutely. Lash extensions can be tailored to suit all eye shapes, lash types, and personal styles. With a variety of lengths, curls, and colours available, they’re suitable for all ages and can look incredibly natural—enhancing your eyes by making them appear brighter, more youthful, and more defined.

Is getting eyelash extensions painful?

Not at all! Most clients comfortably chat or even take a nap during the procedure without feeling any discomfort.

Can I wear eyelash extensions on holiday?

This is one of the most common questions I get asked, and the answer is yes, definitely! If you’re planning to enjoy the sun, I recommend using a gel-based sunscreen. My personal favourite is Heliocare 360 Gel Oil-Free SPF 50.
